Update on Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) Availability
You may have seen in the news that Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) – a new medication for weight management – is being introduced by the NHS in phases.
While it will become available in primary care for certain patients, this can only happen once a specialist diet and lifestyle support programme is in place, as required by national NHS guidelines.
Currently, this support service is not yet available in Kent and Medway, so GP practices are not able to prescribe Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) at this time.
We understand this may be frustrating and appreciate your patience while services are being set up. Please also note that Tirzepatide is not available under Right to Choose.
